Nascido em Alto da Vereda, próximo a Irecê, BA, trabalhou com seus pais na lavoura, aos cinco anos de idade. Começou a cantar aos 8 anos, já aos 10, cantava músicas do cantor e compositor Amado Batista, com o objetivo de mostrar aos amigos que tinha talento com o intuito de seu sonho de ser cantor. Teve seu primeiro disco gravado em 2002, pela gravadora Gema. No CD, além de algumas músicas de sua autoria, também interpretava as canções do Amado Batista que são elas "Quando o Sol Brilha na Manhã" e "Última Lembrança".

Born in Alto da Vereda, near Irecê, BA, he worked with his parents on the farm at the age of five. He started singing at the age of 8, already at 10, sang songs by singer and songwriter Amado Batista, in order to show his friends that he had talent with the intention of his dream of being a singer. He had his first album recorded in 2002 by the record label Gema. In the CD, besides some songs of his own, also interpreted the songs of the Beloved Batista that are "When the Sun Shines in the Morning" and "Last Remembrance".
